Provide the Slide auction & movie night – March 31st 2023
To celebrate the end of the first Provide the Slide collection campaign of 2023, we’re hosting a very special movie & auction night on the 31st of March 2023.
We will be screening 2 surf movies which depict the essence of surfing for a purpose ! Furthermore, our local shaper, Carlos Lopes & Simon Mendoza from PTS team have co-shaped a unique board which will be for sale after the movies screening ! The Auction will be hosted by the charismatic, Andy Davies, founder of Mami Wata and publisher of the well-known surf magazine Zig-Zag. All proceeds of the board’s sale will go to Provide the Slide. You can follow the shapping of the board live on Instagram through the month of March! Remember, everyone donating some material to Provide the Slide will automatically enter a prize draw with the possibility to win a surf session, Alaïa Alpine Alternative t-shirts and lots more. The winners will be announced on March 31st after the movies screening!

Water Get No Enemy, 2021
Written and directed by French professional surfers and filmmakers Damien Castera and Arthur Bourbon, this film ain’t the usual air-rev compilation we’re all too familiar with in surf. Instead, the 47-minute documentary takes us on a trip to Liberia, where world-class waves offer a therapeutic release for individuals who were traumatized by a not-so-distant conflict.

In 2021 the PTS-Team travelled to Ghana after sending around 60 surfboards to six partner communities. The idea was to see the impact the boards have and dive in to the perspectives of all kinds of people who benefitted from the boards. Being hosted by their partner the legandary Mr.Brights they travelled to all six communities which received boards. A unique opportunity to get to know the surfing community in ghana, it’s all love ! Go Surf Ghana!
